The peal-to-peal network connct two PC network ports with no hub.
a) Network cable: Please prepare a network cable with 10 BaseT RJ-45
connector on both sides. Then please
Cut the cable and connect
1 XMT+ <------------> 3 RCV +
2 XMT - <------------> 6 RCV -
3 RCV+ <------------> 1 XMT +
6 RCV - <------------> 2 XMT -
b) Test under DOS
You may test the network communcication by use Realtek network utility
such as
Reset8019.exe, Reset8029.exe or Rset8139.exe. Choose network diagnose
item. You will see the
transmission and recivinng counts.
c) Test in Windows 95,98,NT4
1. Check your if network adaptor work corrct in the Windows. It shows in
the"network" item in the "Control Panel".
2. Add a TCP/IP protocal configuration
3. Add a network IP and subset mask address in TCP/IP.
Example:
IP: 111.111.111.111
Subnet Mask: 250.0.0.0
4.Disable "WINS resolution" in WINS configuration of TCP/IP properties.
5. Add a "NETBUI" protocal in network configuration.
6. Add " Clinet for Microsoft network" service in network configuration.
7. Add " Files and printers sharing for Microsoft networks" in network
configuration.
8. Click " Finish" and reboot system.
9. Release computer access right by checking
My computer -> C drive -> Click right bottom of mouse -> Shoose
share level (Folder).
10. Must log in a user name for the MS network.
11. Check the network neighborhood and wait for a while ( Form serval
seconds to 3 minutes) to see the other computer. Sometime you need to
check the "reflash" from "View" item.
