How to install SCSI driver under Windows 95? | |||

Solution:
This solution is an instruction to install the SCSI driver after your Win95 has already been installed.
Preparation
========
Before you installing SCSI driver, you need to have both Driver_bank and Windows 95
CD-ROM discs.
Instruction
========
1. Double click on "My Computer\Control Panel\Add New Hardwar", press "Next" to
continue.
2. Select "No" so Windows 95 will not detect your new hardware and we can
install th driver manually. Press "Next >" button.
3. Choose " SCSI COntroller" in "Hardware Types:" and press "Next >".
4. As the SCSI controller is not listed on "Models", please press "Have
Disk..." to install driver from CD-ROM disc.
5. Specify the correct path of SCSI driver in your system. In this cse, the
correct path is "D:\SYM895\DRIVERS\WIN95\8XX95". If you are not sure about the
correct path, please press "Browse..." to find the exact path. Press "OK" to
continue.
6. Supported adapter will be listed on screen, please select "Symbios Logic
8951U PCI SCSDI Adapter". Click on "Next >" to next step.
7. A prompt window will be shown on screen, press "Finish" to close the
installation. Restart your computer to load SCSI driver.
8. Windows 95 will detect the PCI SCSI adapter and ask you restarting computer
to finish the installation. Please select "Yes" to restart computer again.
