How to install network driver under Windows NT for CompactPCI products?
Solution:
Before installing the network driver, please prepare the driver diskette manually. Please execute "MAKENT.BAT" under "MIC3000\82559" directory. The default destination is "A:" drive. You also can specify your own destination path of your second floppy drive so that this batch file can copy proper files onto your destination diskette, like the following command: MAKENT B:\ It will copy the drivers from E:\MIC3000\82559 onto A: drive, where E: is the drive name of CD-ROM. When the driver diskette is ready, follow these steps to install the driver: 1. Double click on "My Computer->Control Panel->Network", select "Adapters" and press "Add.." button. 2. Insert the driver diskette into floppy dirve (Ex.A:) and press "Have Disk..." to continue. 3. Press "OK" to load driver for diskette. Supported devices will be listed on window, please select "Intel(R) PRO Adapter" and press "OK". 4. Windows NT will install driver immediatelly. After that, press "OK" to close "Network" window and restart your computer.
