How do I upgrade firmware of RAID-500 controller? | |||

Solution:
The capability of RAID-500's controller can be ehanced through Firmware
upgrade. Please refer following steps to do it.
1. Download RAID500's firmware and TEXT RAID manager from FTP web site:
ftp.infortrend.com.tw. The latest version is V2.23(October 20, 1999).
2. Connect RAID500's controller to host computer or notebook via serial port.
Please make sure both serial ports with same configuration. The default is set
at 9600 baud, 8 bit, 1stop bit and no parity.
3. Run "RAIDMAN.EXE", and select "Controller Maintenance" item.
4. Select "Download Firmware" item. And Please chose "Yes" to continue.
5. Input path and file name of new verion of firmware, and press "Enter".
6. A "In Progress........." message show you the firmware is updating.
7. Restart RAID Controller when you see message "Complete successfully!".
