Why the old ADAM-5000/485 (for example : M97XXXXX) with ADAM-5017H can't work with OPC driver? | |||
---|---|---|---|
Solution:
Following information just for your reference.
1) Both the new and old hardware of ADAM-5000/485 were the same. We just need to update the firmware to support new modules.
2) The OPC server is just a driver (interface) between the hardware and software, so the protocol of ADAM-5000/485 was the same.
3) When you set the ADAM-5000/485 to address 0, the 'Baudrate' was forced to '9600', and 'CheckSum' was forced to 'Disable'.
So, please clarify this problem by using the DOS ADAM utility, and check the 'Baudrate' and 'CheckSum' of the old ADAM-5000/485.
