How to debug network communication error? | |||

Solution:
When link two machines or communicate with server in heavy loading,
PCA-6154 Rev.A3 sometimes has communication error problem.
The network firmware configuration causes the problem on
RTL8139A of PCA-6154 Rev. A3.
Please follow the following process:
#### Modification process #############
Update the new firmware of the network can make system link
more stable. Please do the following steps
Upgraded EE PROM configuration (RTL8139A) :
1. Copy all the attached files into your disk ( please use the new attached
files, not the ones
in my previous email ).
2. Run " NewID 8139A.cfg " to reassign the ID Code (Please type the number
as same as printed in the lable on the RTL 8139A chip ).
3. Run " PG8139.exe " to reconfigure the EEPROM
4. Please make sure that your "L2 cache memory" is set to be "7 bit" in
CMOS setting.
