How to set up the communication of ADAM OPC Server by modem? | |||
---|---|---|---|
Solution:
The AOA I/O Driver has built-in modem support using Microsoft's Telephony API (TAPI). TAPI provides access to a variety of telephone network services. Although these services may use different technologies to establish calls and transmit voice and data, TAPI makes these service-specific details transparent to applications.
To enable telephone communication for your driver:
1. Open the Windows NT Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Modems control panel.
3. Follow the instructions for installing a new modem.
4. In the I/O Driver Power Tool, select the device that you want to communicate by modem and enter the correct telephone number in the Primary Phone Number field.
