Why the Windows NT can't detect partitions mapped to discontinuous LUNs? | |||
---|---|---|---|
Solution:
By default, the Peripheral device type for RAID-500UW/U2W is "No Device Present",. and it will cause that Windows NT can not detect partitions mapped to discontinuous LUNs. For example, four partitions of a logical drive are
mapped separately to LUN0, LUN1, LUN2, and LUN6. Under Windows NT4.0, only the partitions, mapped to LUN0, LUN1, and LUN2, can be detected. To solve this problem, please refer to below procedure.
Set " Peripherial Device Type" to 0x1f
Set "LUN Application-" to Undefine LUN-0's
Command Path: View and Edit Configuration Parameters --> Host-Side SCSI
parameter --> Peripheral Device Type
