How to verify the PCL-833?
Solution:
For the PCL-833, to simplify the question, it is recommended to make it work under DOS first. Please check following steps: 1, Boot your system with DOS. 2, Check if you have connect the external power into PCL-833. Since the input of it is isolated, we need to provide power for the receiving chips. Or you can place a wire at the location L1 and L2 to use the internal power. 3, Run the DOS test program '833test.exe'. 4, Set the base address first. 5, Chose the test mode. 6, Press '2' to configure the counter. 7, chose: Reset to 0000000 counter latch source 's/w' reset after latch 'NO' Lock when overflow 'NO' Reset Counter 'NO' Then press 'Esc' 8, Connect the counter input into PCL-833. Press '1' and you will see 'DONE!!! any key to return'. Actually the counter has been started now. And you can check the counter value is now changing. If it can work well, we believe it is no problem to use it in Windows system.
