How to use SSD (Solid State Disk) 28SF040 Flash Chips and DOC-2000? | |||
---|---|---|---|
Solution:
1. To boot from Flash Chips 29C040A or 28SF040 (must use BIOS Rev.sr2.30), SRAM
and EPROM, The drive
assignment must be "A", because the SSD (Solid State Disk) can olny emulate
these chips as a FDD drive. If you set
the SSD to other drive 2nd, 3rd, or 4th. It is not bootabel but accessable.
You may use one, two, or three chips but must
be install in sequence of socket U4, U11,and U12. Socket U4 is the one
closest to LPT port. So if you use DOC-2000,
please put it in U4.
2. To boot from DOC-2000, DOC-2000 will be boot from drive letter C:
3. The general setting to use SSD are :
a. Check the jumper setting JP21(I/O Address), JP23(U4),JP24(U11),and
JP25(U12) for SRAM battery.
b. Enabel the "Internal Flash/ROM disk" from "Chipset Feature Setup" in
CMOS setting.
C. After reboot you will see " Internal Solid State Disk BIOS....... SSD
