How to extend the transmitting distance to 10 km of ADAM-4550? | |||
---|---|---|---|
Solution:
Because we only provide omnidirectional antenna for 8db and 12db, not for 24db, there are two situations you may meet when you want to extend your transmitting distance:
1. Point to Point:
You can use 24db antenna to build your point-to-point communication system, the distance can be up to 20 km.
2. Master-Slave:
Due to master-slave structure, you must use omnidirectional antenna for master ADAM-4550, but it is not necessary for slave ADAM-4550, so we can adopt the below way to build your system:
Master => 12 db omnidirectional antenna + 1W amplifier
Slave => 24 db directional antenna
Originally, the transmitting distance can be up to 4.5 km under this situation without amplifier, but it would multiply with 5 to 10 typically with 1W amplifier, that is to say, it could be more than 22.5 km with 1W amplifier.
Note!!
We use the relative formula to calculate the above values, actually, they should depend on the environment, we don't really test it, so the above is just for your reference.
