How to use onboard SSD and PCD-897 simultaneously? | |||
---|---|---|---|
Solution:
Regarding this question about setting a PCD-897 as drive D: and a 2MB DOC
onboard as drive C:. Please follow the below steps:
(1) Install the onboard DOC and check if it can work properly (without the
PCD-897). And then, execute M-system's command to set it as drive C (/first
option). For example:
C:>dformat /win:xxxx /s:doc106.exb
(2) Install the PCD-897 and check if it can work properly (without the onboard
SSD). Do not set it as drvie C.
(3) If above step (1) and (2) are OK, set the start address of onbard DOC as an
lower address than the PCD-897 since the BIOS will execute the SSD BIOS code
from the lower address.
(4) If your system work properly, you should see the Drive C is your onbard DOC
and drive D is your PCD-897. However, if you also use a Hard drive. The PCD-897
will be set as Drive E.
