---|---|---|---|
Solution:
Please refer to the "Administration" function on the User's Guide. When you manage the user's information, you also can specify the privilege number of each user. The privilege is used to manage security of the system.
You can design your system, display window and control object with privilege constraints to lock and protect user options. The privilege number is from 1 to 255. The large number, the higher one's level of privilege to access the display window and control objects. Besides, the privilege number '-1' is reserved for the supervisor. Please refer to the example file for further more detail information.
The attached example add 2 users by "Setup -> Administration...". The user's information is shown as below:
User ID: OP1, Password: op1, Privilege: 250
User ID: OP2, Password: op2, Privilege: 125
(the default password of 'Supervisor' is '' (NULL))
The 'Privilege' of "Slide Control Display" block is set to 250. And the "Bar Graph Display" block is control by "Slide Control Display". Don't forget to "Enable Password Checking" by "Setup -> Runtime Preference...". Besides, please think the "Trend Graph Display" as the routine data acquisition and control task.
Now, each time you launch this strategy, input the 'User ID' and 'Password' was request. If you login with Supervisor or OP1's account and password, you can adjust the "Slide Control Display" block to modify the "Bar Graph Display" block freely. But, if you login with OP2 's account and password, although all the graph block still display, but you CAN'T adjust the "Slide Control Display" block anymore.
In other words, you can use the PRIVILEGE property to manage the User's Privilege.
