Solution:
Y2K BIOS Solution
To get Y2K complaint product, you may need to upgrade BIOS which can be
download from this site. If your CPU card are using flash, then you just need
to re-program BIOS with Y2K BIOS. Otherwise, you should prepare an EPROM which
with Y2K BIOS to plug into BIOS socket. If you need this EPROM, please contact
local distributor or Advantech branch.
Some older versions of CPU cards are not made Year 2000 compliant, they must be
replaced (reflashed if applicable). To determine if your system will be able to
handle Y2K problem, a first thing suggested is to check for the system BIOS.
For Not Y2K Compliant products, Advantech suggests below solutions to help you
pass this problem :
1. Use Unicore Software Inc. product "Millennium/Pro BIOS upgrade card" to
prevent year 2000 impact. when your system allow you to install an extra
ISA/EISA card. You can refer to web site http://www.unicore.com for more detail
product information.
2. Install TSR driver, if you can add this TSR into "first line" on
"Autoexec.bat" file.
2.1 Use RighTime Company YEAR2000.EXE program, you can refer to web site
http://www.RighTime.com for more information.
2.2 Use Advantech's TSR program as below :

Note : This TSR program has been tested with the similar capability as 2000.EXE
aand TEST2000.EXE utilities on Advantech products only.
3. If you are using non-microsoft operating system, then please follow below
procedures to get date and time run correctly in your application.
