How to clear CMOS data for PCA-6143P? | |||
---|---|---|---|
Solution:
Generally, you can clear CMOS data by pull out the battery or change the jumper
setting for clear CMOS.
To clear the CMOS unfortunately is not that same with PCA-6143P, the battery is
embeded/integrated inside the DALLAS chip (DS 12887)
The file (KK.EXE) is an execution file. If you execute, all the parameters in
your CMOS will be cleared and it loads BIOS's default value. The second file is
BIOS ROM file, in case the first file doesn't work with your system, you can
use a ROM writer to write this file into a EPROM (eg. 27C512) and replace the
ROM which is on the board.
