Solution:
Users can control ADAM-5000 using the RS-232 port, but only one ADAM-5000. The data sent to the ADAM-5000 RS-232 port will not be repeated out from the RS-485 port.
If a user wants to control many ADAM-5000 modules on a RS-485 network, he needs to install an RS-485 port (with ADAM-4520 or PCL-745B) on the host PC for connection with ADAM-5000. Another function of the ADAM-5000 RS-232 port is for downloading firmware when users want to update or change protocol of firmware.
