How to add new device and drivers for Windows CE? | |||
---|---|---|---|
Solution:
ADVANTECH Windows CE solution support all on-board devices. However, if you
want to add other device like PC/104 module, ISA or PCI cards, it may need more
effort.
For other microsoft Windows Operating System, you can just install the driver
for your add-on device. This is not possible for most cases in Windows CE.
First, most device driver are not installable. That means:
1. You need the Windows CE driver for the add-on device.
2. The Windows CE image must be rebuilt.
If you got following resouce, it will be easier for the re-built or project.
1. Windows NT device driver. It will be easier to port this NT driver.
2. Windows CE device driver. If this drvier has been tested on Windows CE, then
it will be easier for the re-built and testing.
Regarding these add-on device/driver regirements, it will usually be a OEM/ODM
project for ADVANTECH. Please provide all necessary information for us to
evaluate the feasibility.
