How to use the LCD interface? | |||

Solution:
1. This product can support only 18 bit TFT LCD. The 18 bit LCD can support
form 640 x480 till 1024 x768 resolution. ( However, most of of 1024 x768
resolution LCD are 32 bits.) Please refer to the LCD package of Advantech's Web
site
http://www.advantech.com/support
for the support list.
2. To use different LCD, please check LCD "panel type" form "Integrated
peripheral" of CMOS setting. Please do not connect LCD to the LCD connector on
the CPU board, before you setup the CMOS.
3. Power off. Connect LCD to the LCD connector on the board. Please refer to
the attached file for the pin assignment.
The following table is a 800x600 TFT LCD connecting example.

Pin # 38 and 41 are the control pins to flip display. Just leave 2 wires.
4. TFT LCDs need to apply different voltage varies form 3.3V or 5V. Please do
it cardfully. Double check the data sheet. Please set the LCD power jumper
the the correct voltage.
5. If you need to connect LCD to further distance. Please use the on board LVDS
interface.
6. Connecting the invertor power (12V or 5V) and hook it to the LCD. Some of
invertor is with backligt
on/off function. Please connect it to the "ENABKL" pin of the L
