How to create rootdisk (Installation disk) of Red Hat Linux 6.0? | |||

Solution:
The rootdisk can be applied to boot and install Red Hat Linux when system BIOS doesn't support function of booting from CD-ROM. In Official version of Red Hat 6.0, user can find out a file called RAWRITE.EXE locating in DOSUTILS
subdirectory. This program can be executed under pure MS_DOS or MS-DOS session of Windows 9X and Windows NT. A bootimage, which is in IMAGE subdirectory, is required during creating the root disk. Please refer following instruments to make rootdisk.
E:\dosutils>rawrite (E: CD-ROM drive)
Enter disk image source file name: e:\images\boot.img
Enter target diskette drive: A:
Please insert a formatted diskette into drive A: and press -ENTER-
Note: If user download the Red Hat 6.0 from Internet, please try to discover appropriate files for making rootdisk.
