Are WISE-4000 Series Compatible with Cross Domain REST Request | |||
---|---|---|---|
Solution:
In the past, there is a customer use webpage of WISE-4060 to read and control digital input and
output, and there is not any issue or problem about it.
However, when the customer use jQuery to design and deploy a Html webpage by himself, the
user-built webpage cannot read or control digital input and output by using REST command,
whose method includes GET and PUT, from web browser.
The error message of this issue is shown as below:
No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'null' is
therefore not allowed access. The response had HTTP status code 400.”
And the above error message means when using XMLHttpRequest (GET and PUT)to communicate
with another server whose IP is different from IP of the server of webpage, the browser will block
the message to avoid virus from other server.
By the way, the concept of this issue is about cross domain resource sharing, CROS, and the
browser usually block the cross domain resource because of security mentioned in CROS.
Finally, we build a new firmware version of WISE-4000 to make WISE-4000 be compatible with
cross domain REST request. This document will describe why WISE-4000 can let other webpage
get cross domain resource from WISE-4000 and the user must notice firmware version supporting
this function
