Check list for Linux OS to support Advanteck Dac's card
Solution:
[Description]: Check list of Linux OS [Solutions]: First, we would state the issue about Dac’s Card Support for Linux. For supporting Linux Dac’s driver, mainly it is by CUSTOMER REQUEST. Since there are so many different Linux distributors and versions and even in the same version there may be different versions in complier/patch/bin tools as well. It is difficult for us to test our drivers under all kinds open source OS. Basically, we will base on customer’s request to develop suitable driver package. Therefore we would like you help to verify Customer’s working environment very clearly and also what kind of function of PCI-1716 they will use. Following is a list. Please help to confirm with customer: 1. the distributor of Linux and its version 2. GNU version Under GUN: a. the Patch version b. gcc version / the complier c. bin tools version 3. COMEDI packing version and its library 4. What the function customer used and what the sequence the functions were called? And eventually at what point the program was dead? 5. the error code, if there is any, 6. Finally, which example customer is using or they can send us their example for testing. Through this info, it will help us to duplicate the problem and further to develop suitable drivers for customer,
