[Description]: ADAM-6000 series communication Problems
Q1. We are scanning the module channels two times a second. Is this okay? If not, is there a limit to TCP/IP scan rate?
Q2. Can more than one process connect to and scan an ADAM-6000 series module without causing read/write fails?
Q3. Is it okay for one process to scan the status of a digital output and another to write to the same digital output? Is it possible that one of the two processes could fail on read or write?
[Solutions]:
Q1. 2 seconds a time to Scan the module should be ok. The communication will depend on the Ethernet traffic is smooth or not, The other thing should be checked is the idle time setting. It will depend on customer application.
Q2. ADAM modules can be connected at most 8 clients to scan/control.
Q3. It is possible for one of the clients to read and the other one of clients to write, as long as the line/connection is good.
