How can we enable Intel 8255x or 82562 LAN driver under Linux system? | |||

Solution:
Please enable the 8255x LAN driver manually if you're facing the following cases:
1. Linux kernel 2.2.14~2.2.16 cannot detect the 82559 LAN chip automatically.
2. System cannot detect the 82562 LAN adapter built-in in Intel 815E chipset. In fact, you can use the e100 driver because it is compatible.
The only way for enabling all the LAN ports in your system is to force your 8255x LAN adapter(s) enabled manually. Following is the brief description about the procedure.
If your kernel has no e100 driver attached, please refer to the attached file
