What is the LS version of the USB to serial converters? | |||
---|---|---|---|
Solution:
Every USB to serial converter is assigned a unique COM port number according to the serial number of the unit. The locked serial version (LS) all have the same serial number. This means only one at a time can be connected to the PC and all LS units will give the same COM port on the same PC. The non LS versions allow you to install multiple USB to serial converters on one PC, each with it's own unique COM port number.
