Solution:
The 900 Mhz Zlinx radio modems support 7 or 8 data bits. There is no setting in the configuration for selecting data bits. The radio modem will pass through what is coming in. The radio modem will support : 7 data bits Even Parity 7 data bits odd parity 7 data bits Mark Parity It does not support 7 data bits No Parity ZP9D-115RM-LR ZXT9-RM Zlinx Xtreme
