Solution:
The leds on the BB/Quatech XSU2-400 series indicate the serial mode the unit is in. Red indicates a RS-232 configuration the Green indicates a RS-422/485 configuration. This configuration can be changed in the device manager. You can get more details on the configurations option in the User's Manual.
