What is migration mode, and how will I need to set my Airborne product settings? | |||

Solution:
Migration mode was developed or enabled by the AP vendors to allow IT administrators a period of time where both WPA and WPA2 client could be on the same network. This meant that it had to be able to handle both encryption types and be able to initiate authentication with both. B&B enables this mode for WPA to allow our devices to support those networks which have migration mode enabled. Unfortunately migration mode is not a WiFi standard so there are variations from manufacturer to manufacturer in the final implementation. Our experience has found that in most cases the standard WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK security mode will work, however in some cases you may need to use a security mode called WPA2-PSK-TKIP to get full compatibility.
