Solution:
The IE-Multiway can be used as a Fiber Repeater, and in that repeater mode, it can be used to create a fiber ring. It would have to be used in conjuntion with a switch that has a Spanning Tree Protocol (STP, or RSPT), supported. With an switch that supports STP, in a Master , or Central Office location, it can control the ring connection.
