232DRIO FAQ Q - Customer reported that the 232DRIO didn’t work with a USB to RS232 converter A - The unit uses only RD, TD, and GND, but pins 5, 4 and 6 are connected to ground. The DTR line is on pin#4, which is shorted, causing excessive loading of the RS232 voltages on the buffer chip in the converter. May happen with other low power circuits, cards. Q - How many cycles can the relays handle? I need over 40,000 activations. A - P/N #4466 Life expectancy: Mechanical: 10,000,000 operations min. at 18,000 operations/hr Electrical: 100,000 operation min. at 1800 operations/hr
