Solution:

The Manual states that the reset button should take the unit back to factory defaults. It does not. Holding the Reset button for longer than 5 sec does not do anything. It is supposed to have the ready LED do a fast blink. It does not. Please see the following article for factory reset procedure options: Start on page 7.
