Solution:
The MESR901 allows for setting the Modbus ID routing address from 1 to 255. Actually, only 1 to 247 is allowed. Same for Modbus ID REMAP. Only Addresses from 1 to 247 are allowed. Addresses from 248 to 255 are reserved Modbus addresses.
