How is Xon/Xoff handled on the VESR Ethernet Serial Servers? | |||
---|---|---|---|
Solution:
The VESR product family of Ethernet Serial Servers works like a native COM port flow control. It will stop and start the data flow from the sending device The ESP/ESR Ethernet Serial Servers work differently. They will not stop the data flow at the sending device. It will buffer the data (up to 8kb per port). When the buffer is full, it will dump the data to the serial port whether it is ready or not.
