Solution:
Are you just trying to “tap” in and view communication between 2 devices?
use a data tap. (9PCDT, 232CDT)
Do you have 2 devices connected to 1 device that only listen, or you know they will never talk back at the same time?
(9PMDS or 232MDS)
Do you have 2 devices connected to 1 device and they might talk at the same time?
If so, you can use a Port Combiner. (232PTC9, 232PTC—232PS required sold separate)
(One side is locked out while the other talks, if the other port tries to send information it is lost)
Do you want the 2 device to be able to talk at the same time to 1 device?
If so, you can get our Buffered Smart Switch (232BSS4—232PS power supply required and sold separate. 4 port version only)
