We use 2 different chips for the 232 depending which one is in stock.You will have to look at the chip on the board to confirm which on is on your unit.SP3245EER1-L and the ISL4245EIRZ
There are 2 chips used for 485, one for transmit one for receive:SP3485CN-L MAX3094ECUE+
