Solution:
We have not done any compatibility testing under XP mode. The XP mode makes everything a virtual type of environment and all of our testing has been under Windows XP and Windows 7 32/64 operating systems and not compatibility modes. The unit not being recognized would be more of an issue with the plug and play or USB hub on the laptop itself.
