Solution:
Yes. You will need to do some Port Forwarding through any Router that may be in place between the Computer and the ESP90x/ESR90x module. Also you will need to allow the appropriate port numbers through any Firewalls that may be in place. These modules use the following port numbers: Port 80, 23, 4000, 5300, 8888,8889, 8890 also possibly 4001,4002, 4003.
