---|---|---|---|
Solution:
When doing a loopback on the BAMHC make sure your switches are set to 1, 2, 7, 8 ----ON The rest are OFF Make sure the jumper on the board is removed. Use Hyperterminal on the PC, If you are hooking the PC to the 'To Modem RS-232 side' of the BAMHC you have to use a null modem (cross over cable). And then jump 14 to 16 and 15 to 17 on the 'To Host' side of the BAMHC. Make sure you set Hyperterminal to 9600 --8 None 1 None. If you can see the charaters you type, you are getting a good loopback. If the Hyperterminal session stays blank you are not. Make sure you are externally powering the BAMHC If you are hooking the 'To Host' side to a 232 to 485 or USB to 485 converter on the PC side Connect pin 14 to your RD+ 15 to RD- 16 to TD+ 17 to TD- 7 to GND Jump pin 2 to 3 on the 'To Modem' side (you may need a gender changer because it is a male connector)
