Solution:
The number is based on how he is powering the device. Each device has around a 2-2.5V drop, so for 7 to work at worse case you would need a 20VDC supply. We would recommend our 24VDC din rail supply. For example 4 slaves can be added when using the 12 VDC wall wart.
