What Carriers are the RT3G Spectre Routers Certified for and where can I get a Data Plan? | |||

Solution:
You can get a data plan directly from a carrier of your choice or another popular choice is to go through a MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator). 2 popular M2M MVNO's which we use in our kits above are Raco Wireless and Kore Telematics. You can get a data plan directly from a MVNO just like you would with one of the main carriers. For the US and CA, Kore telematics supports AT&T, Verizon, and Rogers and Raco Wireless supports T-Mobile, Sprint, Rogers. Our 3G Router uses a Standard Sized SIM card or commonly known as a Mini-SIM. Note: Verizon and Sprint 3G devices do not normally use a SIM card. The data plan is obtained, then the device can be activated with the devices Equipment Identifier. The more common Identifier used now is the MEID. This number can be found in 4 places when you receive your Spectre 3G Router. First being a white label on the outside box, second being on the main bottom label of the Router, third is in the Web GUI under Mobile WAN (Status), and lastly if other labels are damaged or cannot access the Web GUI it is on the Cellular Module which would require the router to be opened up.
