Solution:
USO9ML2-2, USPTL4-2, US9ML2-2, USOPTL4-2P and the USOPTL4-4P use a Moschip MCS7840 which has 512-Byte FIFOs for upstream and downstream data transfers for each Serial Port. The USR604 uses the FTDI chip FT4232H which has 2K on TX and RX. The USR302 uses the FTDI chip FT2232H which has 4K on TX and RX.
