Solution:
The Fiber port options of the MESR , are talking at a standard 100Base FX. If the media converter you have is talking the same standard , then they can connect to each other. Just make sure that the fiber types match. For example a Single mode fiber media converter, must go to the MESR version that supports Single mode.
