Is it ok to use a USB to power as an option to power the Airborne device?
Solution:
802.11 B and 5GHz N rates will be drawing right at the 500mA limit of USB 1.1 and 2.0 and will probably work over 95% of the time. This is not suggested for amission critical application G rates and 2.4Ghz N rates will work with a USB power option. 802.11 A channels greater than 64 should be avoided as I would expect them to fail most of the time using USB 1.1 and 2.0. A USB 3.0 port will support the power requirments.
