Do you have to power the 232OTTL from both sides? Can I use the same power supply? | |||

Solution:
Yes, you have power the 232 side of the converter and the TTL side. The 232 side can get port power from the handshakes lines or you can use pin 25 (+) and pin 12 (-) to bring power in. The TTL side has a 2.5 mm plug, part number 232PS power supply can be purchased separately to power the TTL side. You do not want to use the same power supply for the 232 and the TTL side, this will bypass the isolation. Separate power supplies are needed for the 232 and the TTL side.
