The iMediaChassis/20 series utilizes a variety of vendor approved power supplies for AC and DC. The Zippy power supply has a high in-rush current, which is normally supplied by the output capacitance of the power supply sourcing the current. The Zippy power supply is 80% efficient at full load, whereas the Autec power supply is 65% efficient. The higher inrush current, at 70A, is sustained for only 5ms before stabilizing. The DC input (supply) will provide 10A at minimum. Regardless of the vendor type of power supply, both have been tested and qualified by B&B Electronic’s engineers as well as UL and FCC.
