How does the speedlink option work in the Airborne products? | |||
---|---|---|---|
Solution:
The "speedlink" feature is a look-ahead to neighboring APs, so that the radio won't necessarily have to re-scan when it roams: it can often just immediately reAssociate to agood AP. The benefit to this being enabled is faster roaming for a mobile module. If your application is not mobile and it is stationary there is little/no benefit. This feature is a less aggressive reAssociation than non-speedlink mode; thealgorithm is designed for higher power-saving, so scans less often if it can't find an AP. Speedlink does not work with WPA2-Tkip security
