What is the correct voltage input range on Meanwell Power supplies | |||
---|---|---|---|
Solution:
The label on the Meanwell power supplies shows a input voltage range of 100-240 VAC. The Datasheet for the power supplies shows a range of 85 ~ 264 VAC. MDR power supplies The 85 ~ 264 is an acceptable voltage range, even though the label shows a different range. Explanation from Meanwell is below. During safety verification process, the agency will use a stricter standard, of +/-10% of the input voltage range labeled on the power supply, to conduct the test. Operating from 85~264VAC as specified on the power supply is fine. The narrower range of input voltage labeled on the power supply is to fulfill the test standard of safety regulation.
