What to check if VCP is not installing | |||
---|---|---|---|
Solution:
If a USB to serial device is installing, but not showing up as a Virtual Com port Check the Windows Device Manager under Universal Serial Bus Controllers. If the device shows up there, then do a right click and go to Properties. From the properties window click on ADVANCED. In the Advanced screen there should be a check box for VCP ( Virtual Com Port ). If it is unchecked, then check this box. It should create the Com Ports.
